Help

We have attempted to assign subjects to every picture book, verse, and song in the database. However, there are some titles that are difficult to define.

An example might be the concept of time. There is a subject heading called "passage of time," but we also suggest searching for time-related words in the title (e.g. today, tomorrow , yesterday).

Another instance where we struggled was nonsense poetry. Oftentimes, there was an underlying theme, but not always.

Readers familiar with the poetry of Jack Prelutsky and Shel Silverstein know their love of imaginary creatures, so it is one of the more popular subjects.
